Vinci

The next part of the trip is where the real adventure began for me!  We rented a car and started driving through Tuscany.  There is no better way to experience Tuscany than driving through those Tuscan hills,  small roads and quaint towns yourself.  It helps if you are a "Boston" driver!

Monday 10/7/2019 - We drove to Vinci, the home of Leonardo da Vinci.  We had lunch in a cute restaurant with outdoor seating.

You could immediately see the difference between the cities or coast compared to the country.  Within minutes our table was covered with pollen.  We were definitely in the countryside.  No more modern-day cities for a while.

We only spent a few hours in town.  We toured the Vinci museum and walked around town for a little while.

The views of the surrounding countryside were nice.  The museum was small.  We checked off our Leonardo boxes in a couple hours and were off to visit the rest of Tuscany.

Vinci was a cute little town, but in retrospect, I would have skipped this little town in favor of more time at other places.

If you want to see more pictures of our time in Vinci please feel free to look through our Vinci Album.
